I like a variety of music, but really like songs that move me. Some of the classic rock songs have such depth, and are ageless. The biggest draw for me to the Moody Blues is that they are still out there doing what they do best. And they still have their voices and energy. They bring the past to life once again and allow me to look back at all the nostalgic moments. They have been present throughout my life.

There is deep loyalty among their fans, and while some people hold on to the early years as their most definitive, I see the band as being true to themselves and the times. They evolved and survived. The concept of each member contributing to the songwriting allowed for great points of view. Each member then became known for a particular style. When a member leaves the group, his song is not taken over by the others. I miss some of those songs, but really appreciate the integrity and respect of a person's contribution.

The members devotion to the band and respect for each other really contributed to their longevity. It's nice to hear people still happy to work together after so many years.

I can truly support a band with an attitude like that!

Still waters run so deep, the world listens when you speak, one nation of the free all believing that there'll be no troubles, no hunger, no heartache, no pain. I know we're living to be one again. Walk out of the darkness and into the sun and wake to the morning when we live as one. ~ JH
